And We're Back!!!

Pie League has unfortunately been on a 3 month hiatus....but we are proud to say....we're back, bitches! We feel we owe our loyal followers (all 3 of you) an explanation. We know you've been worried. Our last meeting of Pie League was indeed a special one, with guest Leaguer, Jill, on the night before Thanksgiving. Three people, four pies, one oven....challenging but fun! The multi-talented Jill also designed our fabulous new logo and blog! Then, all of a sudden, Andrea became very busy with a new job. Beth did not take this as an acceptable excuse. However, the job did get in the way of Pie League.

Now, before this unfortunate break in our weekly baking of delicous desserts, Beth got knocked up. Beth has always been a girl who appreciates her sleep, even if that means going to bed at a ridiculously early hour and taking bed naps. Pregnant Beth is even worse. She was shutting off lights in the house before Andrea had her shoes on! So, perhaps a little break was needed. Prego was tired, Teach was busy. We had no idea it would be three months of NO PIE, though.
One February evening, Beth called Andrea, after months of taunting from the men (and Jill) that Pie League was dead. We had to decide. Is Pie League dead? Or can we resurrect it?

Call it a resurrection!

Here we are, two weeks back into Pie League, going strong! Banana Cream and Chocolate Cream Pies last week. Coconut Cream Pie and Strawberry Lovers' Pie this week. We didn't take any pictures last week, though. I think our systems were in shock. But tonight our hearts are in it! Complete Pie League night with step-by-steps, Madonna, MJ, flames in the oven, three burnt batches of "toasted" coconut, and beef tips and noodles! We're back baby!

Next week, we will post our pictures from tonight. Due to our long absence from Pie League, our memories have failed us for weeks 4-8, so we will post a photo recap of those weeks.
